GUI: Windows Server 2012

This edition of Windows server is based on Windows 8. It includes the controversial Metro design language and touch optimized features. Despite this, Server 2012 was very well received in the enterprise market.

Installation:




















First Run:


















On first run, Windows Server requires you to create a strong admin password before proceeding to the desktop and server setup


















Like Windows 8, Windows Server 2012 boots to the start screen by default. The traditional desktop is accessed by selecting the "desktop" tile on the start screen.

Windows 8 and up omit the Windows Classic theme entirely. A modified version of the standard Windows 8 theme is used in Server instead. This theme has higher contrast, with black borders around the windows and buttons.

Windows Server 2012 is afflicted with the same search functionality as Windows 8. There are no apps with the word "disk" in the title? Are you sure? Are you REALLY sure?
